HighHead, at boychild’s small private all boys high school it was the same. Mrs. Bieber, OTOH, was simply a nasty old b***h. On top of that she was a lousy teacher. The school use to move her around between the 3 houses so no kids would get stuck with her more than one year. Then the year after, whoever was the teacher for that house had to start from scratch and get through 2 years material in one. I think she finally retired last year.

Meanwhile, boychild called this afternoon. Finals start on Tuesday. He only has one on Tuesday and one take home but three papers which he said he should be able to knock out over the weekend. He is thinking about going to Hillel’s Seder Friday night, since he has to eat sometime. Planning on driving up on Wednesday with my parents who are up from Florida. They’ve never seen Bates (my sister made them keep driving when they took her to see it 40 years ago) and who knows if what will be in 3 years when graduation rolls around.

I must admit I am really looking forward to having him home for the week.

A pleasant Good Friday good morning to all who celebrate. I am signing off for a week plus as its time for AvonMom’s spring break trip for sun and fun. We’ll be in New Orleans Friday and then sailing to the western Caribbean for a week of just R & R. I will not be captaining this time. I don’t captain again for a couple of years (DD HS-14). :D

S called tonight to announce he got an A on his Econ mid-term - he was very happy with himself! :)

Have a great weekend everyone. See you on the 15th.

I hope everyone has a good holiday weekend. I love Passover b/c it is such a family-oriented time filled with good memories, good food and good smells. We will be with my parents and our friends - 15 in all. The kids at Olin will celebrate together tomorrow night. DS will spend today thru Sunday at PAX East in Boston. He will be in all his glory - three full days of the latest and greatest video games. Nirvana!

Just want to wish everyone Happy Good Friday and Easter and Happy Passover! Quite the Holiday Weekend! Safe Travels to all of you heading out on the road!

Hope everyone has a great holiday. We are scheduled through out the week with great fun. DD will be home for the holiday and dh is picking her up today from college. Was not sure this was happening until this week. I wish she had more than just the weekend though.

Early Saturday morning rescue from page 2. Coffee and cinnamon rolls are here for all.

Happy Easter and Happy Passover to all those who celebrate.

I picked D1 up last night for her first real weekend at home since January. Considering that she is less than an hour from here, it is sort of amusing that has only come home for a few doctor appointments.

We planned the Easter menu last night, and did the grocery shopping. She wants to make silk dyed Easter eggs that she saw on one her cousin’s blog. I need to steal an old tie or two from H’s closet to make them.

She was very excited to show me her schedule for all of next year, and her tentative schedule for junior and senior years. She even had the full course catalogue and had me read the course descriptions. She is definitely looking forward to the classes and has already said that she wants to take certain classes next year so that she has a better shot of internships after sophomore year.

D is home for the Easter weekend. Her 19th birthday is on April 23. H worked hard this week to set up a surprise birthday party for last night with some of her high school friends.

It worked out well! Most of the kids at the party are either still in high school or go to the state school a half hour away, though one of D’s better friends was home from her U in Washington, DC.

It was nice to have these kids together again, though I was missing a couple of girls that decided it was more important to be out alone with their boyfriends then to bring the boyfriends to the party.

Oh well, D was surprised and happy to see who was there. And that is what was important last night.

Both kids talked over course selection with me this week. ShawD’s school lets them register in order of the number of credits the kids have. Because she transferred after her first semester and hasn’t gotten credit for some of her courses that were full year courses and thus she doesn’t have an official grade (though all but one professors gave her what her midterm grade would have been). So, she had very low priority and all of her courses were full. Several are required next year for her nursing program. She called the registrar who said they’ll talk to the nursing department next week to increase the caps. Seems like it won’t be a problem, but seems a strange way to do things.

Happy Easter to those who celebrate!
Disturbing thing happened this morning. H filed our taxes finally last night and woke up this morning to an e-mail that said our taxes had been rejected because someone has already filed using our either mine or my husband’s social security numbers! AGHHHHHH! We now have to turn in a paper copy and call the IRS fraud line etc…I of course am worried about identity theft. Has anyone else experienced this before and if so how was it resolved. Also someone logged onto my facebook yesterday from Croatia, facebook recognized that this was a “unusual” log in for my account and locked it. Had to redo all that but now wondering what has been “hacked”!
Other than that spoke with kids at school who have all had quiet but productive weekends. Both of my D’s roommates went home for Passover so they have had the room to themselves. I didn’t do anything from the Easter Bunny and when my husband woke up this morning he said where is the Easter Bunny stuff (I thought everyone was too old and didn’t want candy, I just threw out Halloween!) But no… So out I ran to the Supermarket at 7am so I could play Easter Bunny to my 9th grader and my son who is home. They of course were very happy that the Easter Bunny had come so I guess my husband was right.

EAO1227, I am so sorry about the tax and fb hassles! Did either you or H double check the ss #'s on your return to make sure no numbers were flipped around as a typo? Let us know how it gets resolved!

Bajamm, Yes did all that no typo’s! We saw something on the news about this being a problem, he is staying home today to try and resolve while we go over to friends to celebrate Easter! Will let you know!

My kids said that they will never be too old for the Easter Bunny. I made them baskets with Peeps, jelly beands, chocolate bunnies and other goodies. They decorated eggs last night using silk ties, which came out very cool. I didn’t hide the eggs, since I figured that they were too old, but they wanted me to hide them. So, I sent them upstairs, hid the eggs, and they had an egg hunt.

Just when you think they are too old, some traditions will never go away.

EAO, this sounds like the beginning of a nightmare. I might call a good tax attorney to work with the IRS in sorting it out.

DH had his CC# swiped by an employee at Circuit City about 8 years ago. Within hours they were buying stuff online. We only found out a few days later because Toshiba called to verify shipping address as it was different from billing address. Had to call the police, banks, etc., and then a few days later, much to our surprise, got a call from the Secret Service who had been tracking the Circuit City employee and the ring. responsible. Since we were the only ones who knew exactly when the card # had been swiped (new card never used anywhere else) they could finally go in and arrest him.

EAO, if you haven’t already done so follow the instructions on [Reporting Fraud](http://www.irs.gov/faqs/faq/0,,id=199590,00.html). Also contact all three credit agencies to report fraud. Set up alerts on all your credit cards and bank accounts. You can be emailed or texted if a charge over a set dollar amount is made, if your balance gets over a set amount, if out of country charges are made. Make sure all of your electronic devices have up-to-date virus protection and fire walls. Check all accounts daily. Lastly, keep a journal of everything with dates, names, contact info, police reports.
