Has anyone figured out how to get the once-a-day summary email feature back? Other than that, I’m fine with the new format, but not fine with the 50 separate emails, one for each comment, that have to be read via an online link meaning I can’t catch up with you guys unless I"m on line (meaning sitting at a desk rather than sitting on a bus with no wifi access!) Thanks much!

I like reading CC on my phone, and I can’t seem to get the iPhone app to work ever since they changed the format. Is it working for anyone else? (Mine is still showing only posts from 2 days ago, and when I click on them they still don’t load).

I can get CC on my phone but I never got the CC app. It keeps popping up and I just push on " skip" because it makes me nervous. You can control emails etc by clicking on the wheel on the top right. I still do not like this new format.

Thanks, twogirls. This new format is really annoying me. Also, instead of listing the latest posts (which one would think should happen when you click “latest posts”) it just seems to show random threads, some of which haven’t been posted on since 2013. ACK!!! This may be more trouble than it’s worth…

MamaBear, if click on “Forum Home” at the top left, I think that takes you to the page that was formerly “Latest Posts” - or at least that’s how I’m seeing that.

@3girls3cats, the app didn’t work for me either (I also have an Android) but I have the Chrome. When I go to the CC site, it loads a mobile version. It didn’t seem to have all the white space.

@FromMD, the last time D talked to the admissions director, the director got fired…thanks for the tip. We’ll stop by.

Suzy100 – thanks. When I click on it, I just get the main forum directory.

Before the change, the “New Posts” tab (or whatever it was called) would just list all the posts on CC, with the latest ones first. I found some nice threads that way. I’m not a technology guru and this site is making things hard for me (like we need this college-search thing to be harder than it already is).

What I find really annoying is that I actually have some questions to ask, but I can’t seem to get past this new format and write them out. :-S

Pepper, I’m so sorry for your loss. Be kind to yourselves, I found that losing my father and my grandmother was harder than I expected.

Thanks Slackermom! I was able to get to the mobile site without the app and it is working smoothly.

One thing I do like about this new format is the notification icon on the top right. There I can see whether there are new posts to my subscribed threads.

Weather Alert!!! Another blast of artic air heading this way. Could somebody head it off and detour it away. Mayor just on tv ENCOURAGING that school delay opening or close–now back to your regular programming

I’m also in the midwest, Hoosier, so we are bracing for it as well. I think for sure school will be canceled on Tuesday, but hoping they go tomorrow. Gird your loins!

Oh my goodness…I leave you all in charge while I was away from the computer for a few days a look what has happened to CC! lol Wow…big changes! I will have to click around a while to decide if I like it, but like someone else mentioned…I got slammed with so many email notifications all of a sudden! Thank you for the note on how to turn that off (click the globe at the top of the screen by your name), but I did like having the option of a daily email…we’ll see how it goes with just the pop up notifications. I also agree with the ‘latest post’ issue. I always liked browsing that and seeing the most recent posts…a bit like browsing on Pinterest. ;-)

The snow is already whipping up around here, and the weather folks in my area keep saying, “We cannot tell schools to close, but the weather is going to be extremely cold again on Monday and Tuesday with wind chills approaching 40-50 mph. Schools may close.” The winds is on top of -20 or below air temperatures.

We already have blizzard conditions on Southwestern, MN.

Done, done done, with this winter season.

Our schools have used their 5 snow days already. But they have gotten the go-ahead to have 3 more without having to make them up if they offer the work online. So that’s the plan…teachers put the work online and the students have 2 weeks (?!) to do the work and get it in. Sure beats going extra days in June!

I will never again sing " Let it Snow, let it snow."’ in this life time. I also prefer never hearing I hope we have a white Christmas.
I know I complain about the weather a lot but we live out in the country and truely no plowing happens on our roads. It takes 45 minutes to get to school on a good day.
Oh, I could say its been a great day in this house. But. DD just causually said to me that maybe she should have looked at the Blue Book before taking the SAT yeah just great 8-}

Pepper, I am so sorry for your loss.

Thanks to all of you for your expressions of sympathy.

I am sorry for those dealing with this horrible weather. I live in. New England so it’s been cold but nothing like what you have been experiencing.

My daughter is far more concerned as well with her semester grades that the SAT. I sure hope she can get caught up by mid week with the midterms she missed and get everything finished so she can at some point this year be all caught up.

Sorry for your loss Pepper.

On the other hand, out here in the wild west, people are holding their breath for rain. I don’t like rainy weather but seeing the brown everywhere and hearing about wildfires in January is unnerving. We may be on serious water restrictions this summer. This winter is wacky.

Today D tells me that she really doesn’t know how she did on the SAT after all. She says she’s not sure the weird section was experimental after all and she doesn’t know if she made careless errors in the math section. :-S

My D took the SAT yesterday. She feels pretty good about how it went.
