I must admit I was a little bummed when she opted to go elsewhere because it’s such a fun place to visit. @carolinamom2boys I’m sure there is extra excitement since it was the top choice for your son!

Congratulations @Carolinamom2boys! How wonderful to have them both in the same place. My S19s are so different - when one picks a school, I try to steer the other to a ‘nearby’ school. Lol Only a little overlap in their applications unfortunately
D19 was deferred from JMU today. Letter stated they received 13,655 EA applications and 28% were deferred to RD. They indicated in the past two years 40% of the EA applications were accepted in the RD round.
DS was also deferred from JMU today. We are instate, Northern VA, 3.4gpa weighted, 1280. Political Science.
Is JMU high on your kids’ lists?
My S19 had to apply to JMU by Nov. 1 for the music school, but his is not considered an EA application, so he doesn’t have a decision. Sorry to hear about the deferrals - hopefully we’ll all get good news when RD decisions are released.
I think my son has JMU in his top two or three. Unless he gets into his toughest admit for music, JMU (if he gets in) is my top “mom choice” for him based on its relative cost and his intended major. He auditions in about 4 weeks.
D19 was also deferred today – although she was ready to withdraw her application to JMU about three weeks ago. (She only left it alone after I asked her to as most of her top schools are BFA program schools.)
This makes her decision to go the BFA route even easier.
My son was deferred from JMU and I’d say it is top on his list.
So sorry for all of the deferrals.

D19 was accepted to JMU today. (3.4w, 1450 SAT) We’re very excited, it’s her first acceptance.

For those of you with a kid in college already, what is the difference between: Final Report, Final HS Transcript, and Final Transcript Report. Twin A’s portal lists those as needed at the end of the school year. I just don’t get the redundant language. Is one a conduct type report? They know she’s dual enrollment, but I don’t that is it.
