What has the support experience been like from your high school?

I am just curious about the support experiences from your high school in general. Things like: Advising on what colleges to apply to. Advising on the college application process in general. Securing Letters of Recommendation. Submitting documents to schools in a timely manner. Support when something went wrong. I always love hearing both success stories and horror stories for the learning value that they provide.
