Her S24 brother has a close friend of his who is at Tenn in Engineering and absolutely loves it there.

My younger brother was (deceased) a 2002 Duke Grad - double major economics/poli-sci before he went to Law School at UVA. Lovely campus and his Duke friends are all good people.

Mine was also accepted at UTK today for Nursing (which is a surprisingly hard admit â so we are super excited) with the same Volunteer Scholarship ($9k/year)

Yes, this currently makes UTK her third least expensive option - still well behind UNC-CH and NCSU but we wonât hear from UNC until Saturday. She âshouldâ get into NCSU without too much anxiety on our end.
Fortunately, with the schools she has on her list cost doesnât have to be her deciding factor (but that is why she didnât even bother to apply to Duke, UMich, or Northwestern - well that and the relatively low acceptance rates) - so she may have to go visit her brothers friend at UTK to appreciate the campus.
I will admit Iâm not âin the knowâ on the BSN nursing programs so I had to go look them up. Congrats!

Funny you say this. I literally just purchased my daughter her MacBook for college. I found the education website and got one off of there with a little bit of a discount. She doesnât need anything wild, sheâs going to an in-state school and majoring in humanities of some sort. So she wonât need something super powerful. The Schoolâs website really is open-ended about what they recommend for students unless they are a specific major none of which she is. And sheâs used to MacBook because thatâs what sheâs had since third grade for school. So Christmas is DONE. Woohoo!

Our S23 is a Junior at Brown, he just got home a couple hours ago. It was a terrible weekend and so scary for everyone. So thankful heâs home safe

Duke was the first school my D22 and I toured when she was a freshman. I was totally blown away, although she had no frame of reference and didnât know what to think. (And then there was the Duke curse at our high school I told you about, LOL.
