Parents of the HS Class of 2026

So the statement isn’t connected to the score itself, just the fact that you’re a junior?

It’s still early pacific time so not sure if my kid has theirs from the school yet. I don’t want to log into their account without their knowing in case they want to see the score first.

I think that’s correct. It’s referring to junior year eligibility. Score cutoffs change annually so no way to know yet. A 208 will be close to the commended cut off —- think it was 208 last year but is predicted to be 210 this year. For NM semifinalist, cutoffs are by state.

Mine said no score for her yet. Have others received scores today?

I’m parent of class of 27 and no scores as of yet. Keeping up with this thread as 27 isn’t as active yet.

My D26 took it Oct 30 so she will not get her score until the 14th but I believe any one who took it between the 12th and 26th are supposed to be released by the end of the day

They might end up commended but unless. You are in a super low stat state they will more then Likely not become a semi finalist

Yes, that’s correct. You qualify and if your score meets the commended or semi-finalist cutoff, you’ll move on. But as of now, none of that is known.

Nothing yet. We are in Maine so it’s already nearly 3:30pm.

Nothing on my kid’s site yet either

Students on Reddit are predicting scores will appear around 6PM Eastern, for what it’s worth.

PSAT scores are out.

Hmm. Not seeing on my kids account. Wondering if some discrepancy in how the school registered them.

I have a disappointed kid. She had high hopes since her whole life she’s been off the charts on standardized tests. But alas- she’s just above average for psat. She’s creating a study schedule tonight and is hoping to pull it up for the real deal SAT.

D26 got what would have been a 1260. NM index score of 192. So not in national merit range at all but I’m happy with how she did given she did zero practice or prep.

Hm. Reddit says sometimes school tickets are not synced with college board logins. Anyone else here have this issue? (C26’s school registered them for and administered the psat, we did not register for it via the college board website)

Im sure many people have said this but I wouldnt spend a ton of time on the SAT because I dont think it matters that much.

It’s not worth the stress because of the 5 seconds that a college advisor may review it along with 8 million other factors, many of which are far more important than a standardized test.

That’s just my opinion.

PSAT result was 1390 for D26. She was disappointed because she did better on the practice test she took. I told her that this is just fine for a first attempt with minimal studying and not to stress out about it! After our school almost didn’t give the PSAT at all this year, I’m just happy she was able to have the experience of taking this test, to help her get ready for the SAT

S26 got a 219. That’s the highest it’s been in Michigan, so hopefully it holds for him.
