Parents seek courts help to get adult son to move out

I just hope for a peaceful move out on 6/1. Maybe police should be present? I would not be surprised to see a barricade situation on the news.

He has a bow and a gun. He was arrested for stalking a young woman in 2009. http://www.syracuse.com/crime/index.ssf/2018/05/worldwide_media_see_camillus_sons_eviction_as_a_joke_7_reasons_why_its_not.html

I feel so sorry for his parents. They let him move back home when he lost his job. It was during the year and a half he lived on his own that his son was conceived. He said he was never married nor in a relationship with the mother.

In a word, it’s a mess. I agree, jonri. I feel so sorry for his parents.

Alex Jones has come forward with $3000 to help Rotondo. Yes, that Alex Jones.

This guy has probably started himself a Go Fund Me account to pay for those cardboard boxes. :- :open_mouth:

…and a pizza chain has offered him a job with a “signing bonus” of $1101. https://abcnews.go.com/US/30-year-ordered-court-move-parents-home-job/story?id=55436268

63 and #65......insanity! Playing right into his hands......

I hope he moves and starts his new job soon so his parents hopefully can see their grandchild and have a respite from him. He sounds like a very odd person—I only hope he isn’t and doesn’t become violent.

Given Rotondo’s track record, I wouldn’t want to be the manager who has to supervise him at Villa Italian Kitchen. Maybe he can get himself together, and I hope he does. But the problem to date hasn’t been a lack of opportunity.

It appears that Michael Rotondo has a history that includes a diagnosis of schizophrenia. Personally I think the media should take a huge step back and let this man resolve this matter with some sense of privacy.

Looks like the move is underway per TMZ:

Rotondo says he’s got to be out of his parents’ home by Friday at noon, so he’s putting most of his stuff in storage. He’ll be staying at an Airbnb nearby for $25/night for a week … which included a free night.
After that, he tells us he’s going to stay with a distant cousin … he just needs to iron out the details.
Michael also wants to make it clear – he’s a responsible gun owner and there should be no concern about him having a gun while he packs up and moves out."

This is the epitome of 15 minutes of fame.

I really hope he’s a “responsible gun owner.” He’s not a responsible son.

^^^ Or a responsible father.

There’s a tweet that the S has FINALLY moved out, but called the cops on his dad because he wanted to go in the basement to root about for his LEGO there but dad said no. :frowning:

the dead beat could pay for storage for his “stuff”, but nothing to supoort his own child!

This headline gave me a start. This is so sad. It seems eerily similar to the NY case: “Ill. Man Kills Parents in Murder-Suicide After Learning They Wanted Him Out of Their House: Police” https://people.com/crime/son-murders-parents-wanted-him-move-out/
