Just a suggestion here: Why not change the Parent’s Forum to Adult’s Forum? I’ve seen a lot of grad students, singles, et al come on in the discussions and become everyday members. It’s not a big deal, but I think it would be more fitting.

Interesting point. Most college students are adults; thus I wonder if it might be confusing. I value input from a wide range of sources; calling it “Parents” allows people to opt in or out as they see fit.
“Adult” just does not sound right… 
I think it is implied that the majority posting here are legally adults. Some of the students and former students posting here are parents, too… to their four-legged “babies.”
“Adult Forum” just sounds a bit sketchy . . . we don’t want to attract anyone for the wrong reasons even if the conversation does swing to fishnet stockings now and then. O:-)
Resident non-parent on here (much to some people’s annoyance, but I think the majority of people like me…).
Well, I am a parent, just not a human one. (Er, I am a human- I think- but my child is not- again, I think… I do wonder sometimes).
I treat the Parent Cafe like the de facto cafe because the regular Cafe is boring, College Life is irrelevant to my life, and the Grad sections are dead. If anything, the Parent should be dropped and it should just merge with the regular Cafe (which is so far down on the menu that no one sees it). But, I don’t really care. It’s not like you have to show proof of parenting to post here. (And if people have an issue with non-parent posts, they can block or ignore them)
I “liked” Romani’s post because I like her and I’m glad she posts here. I don’t think the forums should be merged or changed.
I didn’t even know there was a regular cafe! Do they have better food/drinks there?? 
I appreciate the OP’s thought, but think “Parent Cafe” is more user friendly than “Adult” - I enjoy being a parent more than I enjoy being an adult!
So it would be “Adult” , like an “Adult” book store? or an “Adult” movie theatre? Would I then have to behave like an “Adult” ? My main objection is that if the name changed I might not be able to find this place.
Sorry, but if it were renamed the “adult forum”, I think I’d feel the need to clear my browser history after I visited here.

I wouldn’t assume that no one is annoyed by the presence of some of the young adults.
I think the forum name is fine the way it is. I might be blocked at work if we call it an “Adult” forum.

Please don’t change the name. Adult sounds just too “adult”. I’d be open to a different name change though. Just can’t think of a good one.
Fwiw- I wasn’t in favor of a name change. I was just saying IF we did. (Like OJ…)
Another vote for no change here. I was thinking maybe non-college caffe, but we get college questions here too.
How about the ‘grown ups’ forum?
I can assure all of you that my thoughts were… pure when I suggested adult’s forum, lol. 
Let’s just leave it … Those of us of a certain age can then find it…
