Parents--word usage question.

Is “pervade” the correct word to use in something like this??:

…pervades the minds…

I know what it means, but is it commonly used to mean filling one’s mind?

Need more words - the whole sentence. Pervade implies a vaporous sort of filling, a seeping feeling.

Pervade also implies that something is found everywhere in a given system - sort of diffusing throughout the entire thing, in your example the entire mind or all of the minds.

It’s the verb form of pervasive.
