Anxious to hear that my cousin’s D is safe. She is studying abroad in Paris this fall.
My daughter is working in Paris. She is okay. I am glad that she had to work late at work. She is checking to make sure all of her coworkers are okay. So scary.

They closed the borders.
Imo this is what terrorists want. They want to cause mayhem and turn countries against the world. Make people desperate and give them no where to go.

My daughter is outside of Paris but it was very scary. Her friends in Paris are okay. I know my coworkers granddaughter is studying abroad there and she is anxious to talk to her. Prayers for all who are hurt and were killed in such an evil act.

I know some of the folks who have kids in Paris currently. Hope they are safe.
The news coming out is getting worse. Seems like there have been several explosions from inside the concert hall, while some of the hostages are being executed one by one. This is absolutely horrific.
My friends from France are safe , which gives me some relief but I am beyond horrified at what these innocent people are going through
I’m not that shocked since just two days ago there was a news segment on French tv that mentioned 14 thwarted attacks. Not to mention the successful takeover of tv5monde.
This is the world we live in.
And Paris has always been a target.
The first.thing I did was try to reach all my friends. Some.I haven’t heard from yet.
But panic will solve.nothing.
Waiting to hear whether those are the violent noborder anarchists who passed into Calais, brainwashed French citizens who came back from Syria, foreigners working for isis…
Worrying some may have been the kids lured by isis and come.back.to kill. There’s a dark, excellent novel from.the 1990s called Killer Kid, with a film I liked better ( maybe less realistic.) About a terrorist group using kid suicide bombers.
The president spoke and said the military are coming in. (It was clear he knew more than he was letting on, so that un named military are currently in un named place.for un named action.)
The borders are not “closed” so much as “anyone coming.in or out must show papers”. Until then it was like going from Minnesota to Wisconsin and the first border checks were supposed to start tomorrow, mostly because of “blackblok” tryin to upset the climate conference

My niece is in Paris but we have heard that she’s OK. Unbelievable!
A new report that the action at the concert hall is over and the two gunmen there are dead. The band is not all accounted for and issued this statement:
Local news says 70 students from UT Austin are in Paris, apparently all safe. I would be having a heart attack right now if I had a child there.
I love Paris, have always loved the French people. I am so sad for them.
My cousin just reported on FB that her D has made it back to her apartment. Relief!

A journalist who was at the concert with his mother, near an exit, said several people shouted allah wuakbar and started shooting with a machine gun into the crowd. He said there was blood everywhere. There were explosions near the back and taking advantage of the chaos he took his mother and left from.the exit. He was still crying while telling the story.
