Paris Hilton and app

“Whoever said SAT Classes lowered his score I obviously did no work, I am about half done with my Princeton Review course and my diagnostic tests scores have already gone up about 300 points.”

It didn’t do a thing. On the writing practice I started with a 600 and then I got a 740 (with his grading of the essay 12/12), 680 on the reading, and 800 on the math. The actual:

760 math
650 reading
560 writing (7/12 essay…)

It could have just been a bad day because I always go to the test sick, but it didn’t help me, period.

I went to the class every time for 3 hour sessions, so don’t say I didn’t do any work.

Oddly enough, I went to the SAT II without studying, stomach cramps (realllly bad ones), and a runny nose. Got 780 and 750 on Math IIc and Chem.

oddly enough, I’ve never studied for a standardized test in my life. But hey, it’s not all about me, is it?

I would put the Paris Hilton book down - as long as the rest are serious.

hmmm…i wouldnt put the book down. its not really a book anyway, its just like pictures of her being like “look how cute my shoes are” but like…they arent. she has big ugly feet and gross clothes :)

hmmm… originality is cool and cute, but paris hilton??? no offense, but I’ve read snippets of that book and it seems like a piece of TRASH. I would say just about anything would be better… it definitely doesn’t have to be tolstoy or anything, but jeez. :/

I’d hit her…

WITH A BUS!

^^haha…
I wonder… would adcoms think it were a joke if you put down Confessions of an Heiress with the rest all being serious books?

and idk what to tell you… but take Elle Woods from Legally Blonde for example - Harvard Law School…

but then again… are movies truly reflections of reality?

All I know is that Independence Day and Jurassic Park are reflections of reality… and damn good movies at the same time.

why lie? if you enjoyed it you might as well put it down! i think if you put it among a list of intellectual books you read it shows that you aren’t majorly serious and are open to reading all kinds of books… which is good!

I think a piece of lighter reading that you truly enjoyed is a positive. But there’s a huge difference between the writings of Dave Barry, Chuck Klosterman, or Bill Maher (people who do not use writing as a vehicle to additional wealth) and those of Paris Hilton, David Beckham, or Pamela Anderson (people who do). If it’s the autobiography of someone who has accomplished more than flawlessly recreating the same facial expression in various social situations, than by all means, put it down. If not … I think it will looked as though you were stretched for ideas.

As someone once said, Paris Hilton looks like a not-quite-completely-transgendered person. She might have her hot moments (incredibly brief), but overall, her stupidity is such a turnoff. -_-
