As an MSU alum, I never, ever understood all the whining about parking tickets. Yes, if you park in the wrong space for about 30 seconds, you will get a ticket. But the signage on campus is excellent and it’s very well marked where you can and cannot park and when you can and cannot park there.
Now U of M’s parking on the other hand is atrocious. Their parking is done by colors (you buy a permit with a certain color and then you can park in that color lot). You can park in any lot with that color EXCEPT on a certain part of campus. But they only tell you that in very fine print and there’s no other indication that you can’t park there… and you think you can because you have the pass that corresponds with the color of the lot. Why not just choose a different color?! (My first and only parking ticket… I’m not bitter
)
It’s always fun to see how creative graduates get with their graduation caps.
cops were funny too
I went to school with someone who had a ton of parking tickets. She never paid them and they were just added to her bill - and her father paid them as part of her tuition. He finally asked by parking was $175 some semesters but only $155 others. He never knew they were tickets.
