So this may be a dumb question…
But on the parking permit application fro 2011-2012, in the space where it requires you to put your “residential address”, do they mean right now or for next year?

I’m living on campus right now, but I’m not going to next year. I feel like if I were to apply with my current address, that would put my lower down on the priority list since commuting students are automatically eligible.
And also, for “status”, they mean at the start of next year, right?

I’m just confused.

Those aren’t dumb questions. I had the exact same concerns! I’ve sent an email to TAPS. If i don’t get a response by early afternoon tomorrow, I’m gonna personally stop by their office and ask. Either way, I’ll know by tomorrow and I’ll share with you what i find out.

Here’s what they told me:

“residential address” is referring to your permanent, home address.

as far as your status, state what your class status would be during fall 2011

hope this helps : )

Ahhhh thank you so much!!! :D

So… How do we know we got a permit? I never got a confirmation email or anything and I mailed my vehicle registration (like they asked) weeks ago…

i never got any confirmation either

The TAPS online application system is a terrible mess and I would never suggest using it. If you can, just go in to the TAPS office (it’s right next to the main entrance to campus) and talk to one of their clerks; you’ll know if you get the permit right away and they can explain the different options and classifications for you.
