<p>No. This is incorrect. Vassar freshmen cannot park on campus without the risk of fines. You can park on the streets of Poughkeepsie, except in winter. There is a freshman parking lot, but it is not in walking distance. Transport can be easily organized to the lot from Main Building, but don’t expect to be able to cruise whenever you want.</p>
<p>My advice: Don’t bring a car if you think you can do without. There aren’t many places to drive that you can’t get campus transport to (a mall shuttle runs twice a week, for example).</p>
