<p>So I narrowed down to two schools, and I’m really torn between these two schools, Parsons The New School For Design and Emmanuel College!! I am sure most of you have heard of Parsons; hence… Project Runway?
Fashion design is really popular at Parsons, and I actually got into Parsons’ Foundation program, which is pretty much a “bootcamp” before you decide your major. My intended major is graphic design. The school is located at a great location in NYC, but it’s so expensive, although I received an excellent financial aid package! D: The name of the school is a plus for my future resume as well. Most of my family minus my dad, want me to Parsons because of the “brand” name of the school, and it is internationally well-known eeek.
Emmanuel College is located in Boston, and it is one of the six Colleges of Fenway. The good thing about Emmanuel is that I can cross-register and take classes at MassArt, which is also a well-respected art school. The school is also pretty close to home; it’s about an hour away so I have the advantage of visiting my family every now and then. Emmanuel has an awesome internship program as well, including extracurricular activities.</p>
<p>The problem is that I don’t know which school to choose, since they both have really good benefits!!! If I go to Parsons, I have a feeling that I’m going to miss an actual “college” experience. I actually visited the school this past weekend for accepted students’ day and I felt pretty intimidated… It’s probably because of the competition amongst the students
I felt kinda comfortable at Emmanuel College though… Ahhh help!! :(</p>
