Does usc allow part time undergraduate students in marshall and dornslife? If they do does it affect university aid? I know it doesnt affect cal an pell grants atleast…

I can’t speak to whether or not they’re allowed in certain programs, but I know for a fact that financial aid and scholarships are affected by one’s enrollment status. I am a PT grad student and, because of that, I do not qualify for many scholarships that I would otherwise be qualified for and I am limited by the financial aid I can receive.

Is there a particular reason why you would need to enroll part time? Are you a freshman?

I am a non traditional student. A veteran working full time with a family. I dont have enough time in the day to go full time, but i would still like a traditional education. I am exploring my options i guess. I have the fi bill to help with tuition, but some extra help would be nice. I have a 3.8 so far and I would be trying to transfer as a sophmore next year with all the prereqs complete.

If I knew the answer, I’d tell you but I think you would get the best answer through calling them directly.

I don’t see why the more traditional majors wouldn’t let you do a part time path, then. More specialized degrees, like BFAs must be completed on a certain path and timetable, but something like History would be OK.

Do check to see if there’s a rule on time between matriculation and graduation for UGs. I know that rule exists for PhD programs.

Thank you both for the info!!! It has helped a lot, i will be on the horn with them asap. Also, it says from that link you gave me that student attempting 6-11 units are considered .5 sap semester. So in theory, it doesnt sound like a problem at all according to that. It only seems like a problem with failed and dropped classes. Hmm
