I’ve read that UC is a dry campus and there is absolutely no drinking allowed. Is this really the case because, I mean, it is a college campus. Are there parties going on in the dorms? or just around the campus. Is alcohol monitoring really strict?
Also, do the sororities and fraternities have parties?
And is there tailgating since the football stadium is in the middle of campus?

Trust me, there are PLENTY of parties both in the dorms and especially in fraternity/sorority houses. UC students can find a lot of parties if that is their goal. However, it can be a tough school, and I highly recommend that you don’t do too much partying especially in your freshmen year.

in terms of partying, there are lllootttsss of parties. the campus is not dry (I know because some buildings are wet- e.g. DAAP, Schnieder, CRC, others), even though the dorms might be (the attitude is more that the RA’s don’t care… just don’t be stupid). Every weekend you will see beer cans/alcohol containers littering the fronts of frats and even inside the dorms’ trash cans. However, partying is easy to avoid if you need a night to work.
And yes, there is tailgating for every football game, even those not at nippert.
