Party Scene

What are some elite colleges that have a large party scene if I don’t want to join a frat?
I’ve heard of Brown and UVA, although I could be wrong because opinions strongly differ across different sources.

Is that really going to be a determining factor in your college selection process?

I wouldn’t focus too much on parties. If you’re paying (or your parents are paying) for college, work hard!! Earn that diploma!
Parties at big schools can be very dangerous, especially since there is a lot of drinking and drug use. Also, some people film/take pictures and post to the Internet, so be careful–think about future employers!
My brother finished college at a small private school and told me a good piece of advice: join a sorority (or fraternity in your case) if you are going to a small college. Large colleges get way too out of hand and are not as safe.

Penn, Dartmouth, and Cornell too.

@skieurope No of course not, I’m just curious to see. I don’t want to live like a recluse. I just want the opportunity to occasionally, not often, party as well.

The problem with NOT joining frats is someone had to pay for the free booze. At my kid’s college all the frat houses are terrible rundown because most of money goes into booze. So females are welcome to the party but not males. This was back in 2010. It might have changed now.

Cornell. As long as you’re a girl, you can get into a party every night if you so choose.

I have heard Hamilton has a relatively open party scene
