passion essays vs. diverse essays?

My passion is very strong in Islamic studies/Middle Eastern culture and politics. I’m an internationally-oriented person and my EC’s show it. The problem (if i can call it that) is that my essays show it too.

I have finished nearly all of my essays and the deadline is approaching. Every one of my essays for all of my schools have something to do with Islam/Middle East. I’m worried that I will pass as narrow minded because I am a Middle Eastern Muslim-American. But it really is my passion and I’ve devoted much of my time for it.

If it was say, an Asian, that was interested in what I am interested in, then that would probably be unique because it’s not his or her OWN culture. I’m not saying it’s wrong to be interested in my own culture, but do you all suggest that I diversify my essays a bit and write about something else.

PS-I left something out. I’m interested in Judeo-Islamic relations as well and about half of my essays are written on that.

I have the same issue. Im changing my activities essay to something outside of my focus.

I actually connected my essay to solving the Arab-Israeli conflict and I talked about how hard it has become to be a muslin in America, and what I have done to correct the face of Islam in my own community.

I’m Muslim, and I wrote about that, but I think it is still unique a long as it is something you care about, and not just something you thought would fit for you. I think you’ll be fine,
