Pat Robertson-A Fraud

The Reverend Pat Robertson yesterday called for the assination of Argentina's President. And this man claims to be a Christian????

He is a FRAUD whose theology strays far from the teaching of Jesus Christ.

Is that a suprise?

Elmer Gantry

Onward Christian Snipers....Is there a conspiracy law against plotting to kill a person?

I find it funny he said it outloud, now if anything happens to Chavez, we will be to blame...he is safer now than he was before...

And its not a conspriacy if you agree with this Administration. And, we better be careful, otherwise we will be accused of smearing Roberts, and thus get smeared ourselves

Yea we are fighting a war to get rid of religious zealots but we put them on TV here.....go figure.

Pat Roberston is the lunatic fringe of the right. However, he is more than offset by the lunatic fringe of the left.

Okay. Let's hear the name, date, and statement of the member of the "lunatic fringe of the left" in the United States, listened to by more than 10 million people a day, calling for the assassination of a foreign leader.

I'm sure you have that at your fingertips.

Hahaha Hazmat, Mullah in America sounds right. Wonder what went wrong in Pat's life.

“You know, I don’t know about this doctrine of assassination, but if he thinks we’re trying to assassinate him, I think that we really ought to go ahead and do it. It’s a whole lot cheaper than starting a war… We have the ability to take him out, and I think the time has come that we exercise that ability. We don’t need another $200 billion war to get rid of one, you know, strong-arm dictator. It’s a whole lot easier to have some of the covert operatives do the job and then get it over with.”

-Pat Robertson, 8/22/05

“There was a popular coup that overthrew him [Chavez]. And what did the United States State Department do about it? Virtually nothing. And as a result, within about 48 hours that coup was broken; Chavez was back in power, but we had a chance to move in. He has destroyed the Venezuelan economy, and he’s going to make that a launching pad for communist infiltration and Muslim extremism all over the continent.”

-Pat Robertson, 8/22/05

Michael Moore, Al Gore, Howard Dean, Harry Bellefonte, Al Franken and the rest of the Air America crew, Ted Kennedy, and the list goes on and on.

ANd they have called for Assassinations?

We gots- lets see- Cheney, Coulter, OReilly, Limbaugh, DeLay, and the rest of the gang...

Website of the Week: http://ihatepatrobertson.com/

"Michael Moore, Al Gore, Howard Dean, Harry Bellefonte, Al Franken and the rest of the Air America crew, Ted Kennedy, and the list goes on and on."

-- So let's hear:
Whom they said should be assassinated?
Date?
Place
Actual statement, please.

I'm sure you have it at your fingertips.

I'll even give you the benefit of the doubt, and you can cite a Christian leader from the lunatic left fringe who doesn't have a following.

Seriously, FF, wouldn't it have done your cause better simply to repudiate Pat's statement rather than engage in a game of character assassination. It makes you look really foolish - I'm sure you think the same of me, but that's not the issue. Just say it: "he's a jerk", and move on. (whoops! sorry!)

Al Franken may have called for the assassination of Rush Limbaugh at some point or another.

Does a pompous windbag count as a dictator?

Pat Robertson, one of the would-be ayahtollahs and guide to God's Own Party, issues a fatwa. Shrug. I expect no better of them.

"Al Franken may have called for the assassination of Rush Limbaugh at some point or another. "

Date. Place. Statement, please?

Chavez a dictator? Yeah, I guess folks elected in democratic elections, despite repeated attempted interventions by U.S. "intelligence", deserve the title.

"A late February poll by Datanalisis, a company linked to the president’s opponents, found that support for left-wing Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has risen to 70.5%. This is a significant increase in support since August 2004, when a referendum to recall Chavez was opposed by 60% of the population. Analysing the full poll results, Datanalisis estimated that 73% of Venezuelans had benefited in some way from Chavez’s key reforms: free medical attention, free educational programs, the housing missions or the government-run supermarkets that sell food staples at up to a 40% discount."

So what's George Bush's approval rating?

But that's off-topic.

It was a joke, Mini.

If you recall, Al Franken wrote a hilarious book about said pompous windbag titled, "Rush Limbaugh is a Big, Fat, Jerk."

I don't recall any specific calls for his assassination, but it's been a while since I read the book.

Pat Robertson wasn't joking.

Great thread. Plenty of emotion here!

Lunatic left?? Any quotes about murder, assasination and the like. Now on the right we now have Robertson along with Ann Coulther and Savage advocating murder, ie terrorism as a solution to problems.

Ah...the party of family values!!!
