<p>I was hoping this wouldn’t become a religious forum and I would prefer PM’s on this subject, but Phelp’s forgets the most basic of Christian concepts: that God love’s the sinner and hates the sin. Homosexuaity in a Christian worldview is no worse than lying or stealing – all condemn (any single sin condemns in fact) and only Christ provides salvation. Everyone, including you, is seen as unclean as a homosexual because none of us are perfect. Hence the need for a savior who died for us. Jesus spent 90% of his time with “sinners and tax collectors”. If you pull single scriptures out of context, you miss the whole point. Roman’s 9, as an example, was important in that it demonstrated to the Jews (I am one by the way) that it was not bloodline that saved you or put you in God’s favor (e.g. Esau) but what you believed that did so. Lest you turn-off an entire board of readers who are more interested in service academies than a bible study - how about you and I PM for awhile? Though I’m out of town until Friday.</p>
