Patriot League recruiting bands

Does anyone have any knowledge of the SAT and GPA ranges for the bands used by Patriot League teams? I wasn’t aware they employed a formal banding system/AI index system like the Ivies do, but was told by an admissions officer this weekend that they do. He told me that his school will admit as many Band 1 athletes as the coaches want, which I found very interesting. Therefore, I’d like to determine what stats would be needed to be in that band!

The article gets more relevant as you keep reading, so be patient.

Do not know if Patriot League schools use recruiting bands. Do know that a 3.3 GPA (with upward trend and strength of schedule) combined with a 27 ACT was enough to pass a pre-read in a helmet sport at a top Patriot.

Thanks!

I can confirm that the Patriot uses a band system similar to the Ivy system. As far as the details, I have no first hand information and the link posted by @fenwaypark is the most detailed I have seen.

Ohiodad is almost always spot on and provided amazing advice to help my S navigate the treacherous recruiting waters.
S just completed Patriot recruiting process and committed to a top Patriot for football. No mention was made about “bands” by any of the schools, but obvious that a set of admission requirements existed for recruits. The most interested Patriot first requested transcripts in spring of junior year, and then again in the early fall of senior year together with test scores in connection with a formal pre-read by admissions department. Assuming a 3 band system, I suspect that S likely fell into band 2. Hope this helps.
