Payment Plan

Hello! I was wondering if I had to sign up for a payment plan even if my tuition will be fully covered by my grants, scholarships, and loans. I’m even gonna have some money left over. Will the government automatically send in that money?

Call your school’s financial aid office. They will be able to look at your personal account and answer your questions and provide answers that specifically pertain to you. Best way to get accurate and speedy advice.

Generally, schools have a tuition deferment that is given to students who have FA coming in. Ask your FA office about this and the qualifications.

Your government (Direct) loans and the Pell Grant is sent directly to the school. Any funds that exceed the bill will be returned to you. How and when that happen varies by the school. As Niguii77 stated, you should be able to defer your bills until the FA is distributed. However anything that is not covered by FA needs to be paid and will not be allowed to be defer (at least at my daughter’s school).
