Payment Plan

I’m signing up as we speak but am having trouble figuring out what housing price i am paying. My room and Board on my finacial aid says 9,920 and the website for the payment plan has certain levels. I am going to be staying in thurstan which is level 1 $6,520. Anyone else from thurston who is signing up for payment plan?

Your question is a little confusing. The payment plan doesn’t charge you directly for any particular service; it charges you for what’s left on your balannce. And different plans have different increments. I ended up sending in mine late last year, so I payed a late fee and I had to make steeper payments as opposed to smaller ones over time.

The difference between the $9,920 (Room and Board) and $6,520 (Room) is $3,400 (board) - the cost of two semesters ($1,700 each) of “Colonial Cash” Freshman requirement. This may be more than you actually need for food - but Colonial Cash can be used in the bookstore as well.

How do you know you are in Thurston already?

CoMom is correct to an extent. You have $1,000 in colonial cash per semester which you can spend most places in the city (I spend most of it on books though) and you have $700 a semester to spend at the J Street-a place which you will come to hate as the food is vile and unhealthy.
