PBS Call the Midwife

I had a feeling she would name the baby that as soon as they started talking about names, I thought the whole show was very bittersweet. Does anyone know when we can watch the Xmas show?

Well, we won’t have time for Call the MIdwife next week because PBS is all about the Royal Weddings, old and new. By the end of next week I’ll be able to tell you about every pearl used in every dress, every flower, every distant cousin not invited to every tea party, every almost disaster and every save from those almost disasters.

I can’t wait.

ooh - a date on the tour became available while I’m there. It’s the day after we arrive back from Zambia so I may be tired but I’m really tempted

Reggie placing the carousel on the grave really got to me. I really liked the continuation of the name Barbara (I am the third Barbara in my family, an every-other-generation name. I told my D that she needs to use the name for her D if she has one, but that wasn’t received well. )

According to their Facebook post, filming is starting on the Christmas special and season 8 with guest star Miriam Margoyles, who was in a couple Harry Potter movies. She brings four Chinese orphans for adoption, especially interesting to me as my own daughter was adopted from China 35 years after the time of Call the Midwife.

Another great episode eliciting more tears from me.

The Fred shaving Tom scene was touching. Reggie and his carousel. The birthday party and slide show.

Royal weddings!! Royal weddings!! Have no idea why I am addicted to them. Maybe because I was glued to every minute of Princess Diana’s wedding.

Tonight on The Middle, the family gave Frankie the mother’s day gift of watching the Royal Wedding with her and not making fun of her.

I’d take that as a mother’s day gift.

Everything about this last episode was just perfect.
Also I have to recommend the books. They are excellent - real page turners.

I loved the season finale and agree that it was well done, agree with the above posters about all the touching moments, the scene with Fred and Tom and the scene with Reggie at the graveside.

I’m glad I taped it and was able to watch it more than once.
