<p>Some schools are boycotting the peer assessment grades that college presidents
assign other colleges – they account for 25% of the score that US News & World uses
to rank schools across the country. They’re pure opinion – and the single biggest factor in how USNW comes up with its numbers.</p>
<p>Rice isn’t mentioned in this story – but I thought it might provide interesting background
for the next round of ratings come August. If it were up to me – Rice would be a single-digit
school – but that’s just my opinion.</p>
