Peers? How to deal with them on tests?

Hi there,

As the new school year comes a serious question rises in my head.
When we have test in class the girl in front of me always turns towards me for help. I don’t mind to give her a hint sometime. At least this boosts my ego a little bit. But she gets very irritating. I can’t concentrate on my work and in the end I have less than her.
Last year’s final geography test was the last drop. Before the class to begin she came to me and winked at me very conspiratorially. She got few point over me even though she didn’t know half the world’s capitals.
This year I want to begin on clear ground and to show her and everybody else that the Info Center is closed.

I would love to hear some fresh ideas on this topic.

P.S. In our society to just say “Hey, you, please do not do this or that, because you disturb me!” or to politely offer your help in learning the capitals. Things don’t work that way here.

It’s fully under your control as to whether or not you help her cheat. You don’t want to cheat, so don’t help her. Don’t even bother responding if she asks you a question during a test, and keep your test hidden from her.

Pretend you don’t hear. Works perfectly fine for me. :)

It depends. Is she good looking?
