<p>I’m a transfer student to a UC and I just wanted to know what Kind of GPA I would need to qualify for a merit-based scholarship. I’m asking this because I know they do a GPA verification, so, they must hand out some money according to your GPA. Right?</p>

<p>You’re probably talking about the CalGrant program, which has a GPA verification. It pays for tuition for Cal residents attending Cal colleges if their family income is below certain limits. CalGrant website has details.</p>

<p>i believe you have to be from low income and 2.0 gpa. they also have a competitive grant for regular ppl and i believe thats around 3.0</p>
