Penn Class of 1923 Ice Rink

Random question - how dangerous is it to walk from 30th street station to Penn’s Class of 1923 Ice Rink at night? Like a Saturday night at 7:30-8:30. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk on google maps. Any road I should avoid? I’ve been to phili countless times but haven’t been in this area much.

What google maps tells me:

30th St PHL

N 30th –> Market (very briefly) –> S 30th –> Chestnut –> S 31st –> 3130 Walnut

Oh, and, how is the rink for public skaters? :)

And if it’s dangerous, anything I should do/bring? I’ll be walking with one other person, a girl (I’m a guy).

I honestly don’t think it’s dangerous at all. I’ve walked there a couple of times late at night, and that was like when i was a freshman in high school. There are a lot of cars around there and since Drexel and Penn are on opposite ends, there will usually be people there. And if you are with another person, it is perfectly fine.

I love the rink  It’s awesome to skate in and the people there are nice.

Just got back. Rink was wonderful; lots of nice people. Had a lot of fun and got insomnia cookies afterward :D

nice :]
