*Penn Class of 2020 Early Decision Discussion*

Strange @toffys
At least you’re not jailed on the 11th

@toffys Yeah you can be back in full swing and freak out with the rest of us for decisions!

@TheWaffleMan149 - Yes. Originally, I did not know that was the d day but now I feel its best to keep myself occupied with other stuff and stay sane.

@toffys Yes, there’s a field for Financial Aid. It’s for tracking purposes (e.g. if they admit, they need to know if they also need to ask FA for a package for you). Penn is still need-blind regardless; our Penn Applicant Portals indicate whether or not we’re applying for FA anyway.

Secondly, I’m sure you’re joking, but there was an article about Harvard MBA applicants who found out how to check their decision early through some sort of back-door mechanism. Harvard tracked those kids and disqualified their admission.

This week is going to go by so fast with the long break. By next monday, we will be 12 days away!!!

@thewaffleman149 Dude, It’s because of Baracka Flocka Flame

lmfao

Half the time, I love how the days are passing so quickly, so the wait can finally be over, but then I remember that that just means all my other applications are due.
Yeah, the only benefit of getting into Penn now is not having to write anymore essays. Am I right, or am I right?

Been so busy, I haven’t been working on my RD apps :frowning: I need to get on top of that

@VaishS Same lol. I got one due in less than a week and I haven’t even started it.

Yo guys, I just got my SAT subject test scores and it seems like I did a lot better than what I had sent to Penn. Although I only took this for RD apps, would it be worth it to send it to Penn right now? CB says that they are sending all scores after Oct. electronically. Do you think they already went through my application since my interview was a month ago?

I don’t think that you can do that

omfg just got my sat subject test scores and I did so bad… I already sent the score in (math 2) to Wharton… automatic reject lmao

Seeing that test score was basically like opening the portal and seeing a rejection

Applying ED2 to NYU Stern as well

Guys, I have just sent my November SAT Score. The rush reporting supposedly takes two business days and I noted on the Common App that I would be taking it. Problem is I did not add them as a recipient during the registration. :S
Do you think they would be able to review it in time? Should I write the Admissions Office an email to confirm?
I’d be really grateful if anyone could reply since I’m getting kind of panicky.

Guys I got my first quarter report card and my grades are actually decent! Like my GPA was a 95.571, taking a second math class (AP Stats) actually saved me. I got 2’s in effort in like all of my class though LMAO like my senioritis is so bad. At my school 1 is excellent, 2 is good, and 3 and 4 are really bad. I used to be the type of student that got all 1’s lol.

@emilyskates - are you an international applicant?

@shivaya No, I’m from New York

I just got my Biology subject test score, and it definitely isn’t “Penn worthy”. However, I’m applying to Wharton and I have a 700+ on the MathII. Will my crappy non-math subject test scores drag me down?

@icrievrytiem No, SAT subject is optional anyway. SAT Math II is more important to Wharton. High 700, or 800 is more desirable.
