Penn Interview

I just got a invitation for an interview. He wants to meet me a coffee place. I have a few questions.

Do i call him by his first name or Mr. X (he is like a manager or something)

Do i buy him coffee?

Should i dress formal

What does he usually ask?

How long is it?

thanks

1) Mister X. How else should you address someone more senior than you unless he has specifically asked you to call him by his first name?
2) No. He’s the senior, he’ll likely offer to buy you something. One day, when you’re interviewing people or taking lower ranked associates out to lunch/dinner, then you offer to buy. Not for this, however.
3) As it’s in a cafe, I’d dress nice casual. If it were a formal office (bank, law office) I’d go formal. Not the case here

4-5) who knows? He wants to gauge your intellect, social skills, interest/knowledge of UPenn. Usually about 45-60 minutes

Aw man I already addressed my interviewer by his first name via email. Was that a bad move?

He probably won’t realize it, but I’d definitely use Mr. X from now on
