I’ve been emailing the admissions officer of Penn regarding some problems and a lot of times, they do not reply. When they do, the replies are extremely short. I was really thrilled about going to Penn when I was applying, but now I feel as though the university does not care for its students as much as perhaps Stanford. It doesn’t try to make students feel excited to go. I don’t feel like Penn is doing its part in making admits feel like a part of the university’s community. Anyone feel the same way? I wonder what would happen if I applied to Stanford EA instead…

Haha yah. Penn never replies my emails. Williams, Chicago and Cornell have been extremely enthusiastic toward me. I feel great about those schools. First impression is always important ^^. I don’t like Penn much because it’s so narcissistic.

I think in general schools with ED are less enthusiastic than schools with EA. I mean, if you got accepted ED to Penn, there’s really no reason for them to make you feel special anymore, you have to go and they know that. With Stanford, if you get in early, they still have to persuade you to go and that’s why up until April you’re bombarded with stuff to make you feel special.

It’s all a game.
