Penn Preivew Days

Are these days mandatory? What do these days offer that normal campus tours dont? Also, for current students, what are the best houses for dorms? and also what classes for pre-med have the easiest or most advantageous curves. Thanks.

Go PENN CLASS OF 2014!

They’re not mandatory. There’s a page that details what you can do if you can’t make it.

No, the preview days are hardly mandatory. They’re interesting though… they show you a more in depth perspective of campus life at Penn, so if you’re on the fence, consider going. Also I’ll be performing with Glee Club on five out of the six preview days!

Quad houses are the ones everyone wants to live in, and for good reason. Kings Court/English House is decent. Stouffer is apartment style living and the Mayer building is the best kept secret on campus (seriously the apartments are beautiful). The high rises are all apartments and not the greatest for meeting people, but usually the facilities are decent (Harrison’s elevators straight don’t work right now, but meh). Gregory and Du Bois are both decent places. Hill I just don’t like since I lived there freshman year… put it this way… you’ll meet a TON of people because you can’t stand to have your door closed in a 9x13 closet of a room!

Go high rise and save yourself alot of trouble for the next 3 years after. Everyone rushes for the high rise and there’s very few vacancies because of in house applications. Just apply now for the advantage in getting in again later.
