<p>What would the minimum GPA and ACT score need to be in order for Penn State University Park (particularly Smeal College of Business) to be considered a definite safety? 3.6+ with 30+?</p>
<p>I don’t think it would necessarily be a safety but you’re definitely well within the average for UP.</p>
<p>Today I talked to a college admissions officer and he told me (3.5 uw and 28 act) that I am on the “high end” of UP smeal</p>
<p>That’s not what I’ve seen as the “high end” of smeal around here.</p>
<p>According to the Common Data Set for 2012-2013 34.17% of enrolled freshman at UP had a high school GPA of 3.75 or higher; the number for Smeal would be higher than that. I am not sure how that would compare with the GPA of all admitted students.
