My daughter received an invite to apply for the Sapphire program at Smeal/Penn State. First, are all Smeal accepted students invited to apply?
Second, We are OOS and financially PSU is tough. We live in MA. Thoughts on Eisenberg at UMass vs Smeal fo a sport management / marketing major?
Regardless of college, Marketing is the lowest paid among business majors (and for the best chance at a good job, a statistics or data science minor, or at least some classes in these subjects, will matter). As a result, especially if Smeal would be tight financially, I’d look into Isenberg first. Was she admitted to Commonwealth Honors?
Wrt sports management, the general advice is to have a solid management major with lots of experience with a D1 or pro team on the side, rather than sports management as a major. (Students can take 1-2 sports management related classes but most classes should focus on core business classes).
