So if you’re not accepted yet what are the chances of rejection? I haven’t seen a single person get in for my major yet so I’m trying to be optimistic but the anticipation is insane.

Schreyer acceptance has been about 8 to 10% last few years per the Dean.

I know students in past years accepted right up to the 23rd to main campus. What major are you waiting on?
Rough numbers, last year Schreyer got about 5K applications, admitted about 1K (20% acceptance), for a target class of 300 (30% yield). The acceptance rate has creeped down over time because they get more applicants each year while the target class size of 300 has remained constant (recently at least). I’m sure they will get more applications this year, so acceptance will probably decline again. That all being said, i think even that relatively low acceptance rate is somewhat misleading, as the pool of applicants to Schreyer is much more competitive than applicants to PSU as a whole. Many of them are Ivy-caliber and using PSU/Schreyer as a backup.

My daughter applied for communications and just received her acceptance today! Her friends at school who had applied all heard a month ago but I’m not sure which colleges they applied to!

So they last wave of EA decisions will be the night of the 23rd?
I’m waiting on criminology. I haven’t seen anyone post any acceptances/rejections on it.
My daughter’s friend got in as a criminology major yesterday. 4.4 weighted, 3.6 unweighted, test optional. Out of state.

Just making sure I understand the correctly. Test button disappears and you will get a result later that evening.
Does Penn State also send out an email advising students to check their portal for update?

My student received an email from Penn State last night saying “an update has been made to your application - visit the MyPennState portal to view it”. Inside was an admissions letter - direct admit to Smeal for Finance, fall 2026 at Penn State UP. We are OOS from a private school, 3.95 GPA and 32 ACT. Our school makes it extremely difficult to get into AP classes, so only 2 APs (currently taking), so not sure how those stats translate for others, but just sharing. Good luck everyone!

I don’t think they will do it on Christmas Eve.
My daughter’s did around first week of November. She’s one of those kids who takes all AP classes. Pretty sure I’ve seen kids on another site saying they got in.

My D26 was accepted to DUS University Park in the Fall! I’m a super happy and proud mom!
