Sorry I was responding to statement how Ohio State notified EA. Some heard today and rest will hear on 1/19. I assume PSU will continue with rolling admission style and everyone, my son included, will hear on or before 12/24.

Did anyone hear anything today from Penn State? Business?! 
Has anyone heard anything about forensic science? I feel like I havenāt seen anything for it yet which is making me, a hopeful FS student a little nervous!

@v2024t My D24 is in the same boat with Forensic Science. She had everything in by 9/15, in state, test optional. She still hasnāt heard anything. I guess we are going all the way to 12/24. She has already heard from a handful of schools but we continue to wait for PSU.

We are waiting for communications too! Submitted beginning of September. Test Optional, OOS. Hearing back from other schools already but this is a big one at the top of the list-we are trying to be patient but itās hard!
Was hoping OOS would have heard from Penn State yesterday. Business major, his portal temporarily changed last night with the test optional button disappearing but then it quickly changed back to the original. looking portal with test optional button appearing. He was accepted last night to Ohio State but is hoping for Penn State.

4.1 unweighted, 4.3 weighted
4 AP and approximately 7 Honors
Most frustrating is his friends applied DUS and have been accepted. As a parent Iām now second guessing myself and maybe should have advised him to apply DUS vs Smeal Business. Fingers crossed for a decision soon.

yeah, unfortunately, same. Iāll give Ohio State some credit. They pick December 8 and January 19. You know on one of those two dates, good or bad.

Reminder to all - Penn State does not send decisions to specific majors all at one time. They will trickle in as the decisions are made. Therefore, if someone you know has heard about Smeal or Nursing or any other major and you havenāt, it meansā¦nothing. Penn State decision order is random.
Those who hear earlier are high stat definite yesses, BUT not all high stat applicants hear early. Many more will be accepted right up to the deadline.
Commonwealth campus deferrals and summer option (if student applied fall first with summer option checked) usually donāt come out until closer to the deadline also.
We are two weeks from the deadline so everyone who had ALL application materials in by Nov 1 should hear within the next two weeks. If the decision is not what you hoped, you also have the option to ask for reconsideration into a different major or semester start and that has been very
successful for many. Good luck!!

As a noteā¦twins here. One accepted DUS. Other waiting. Basically same statsā¦they have a friend with significantly higher stats (top 5% of class and scores)ā¦and still waiting. So agreed, Penn State def random.

I havenāt seen any summer or branch campus acceptances yet on here, accept for those who chose that option.

They havenāt been posted here yet, but keep in mind this is a small subset of all applicants. That said, most summer and commonwealth campus decisions (if applied fall and UP) will show up closer to the deadline.

My son did get designated for Behrend today. He was test optional and very meh GPA. Just kind of sent his app in because it was ready as a flier. Was expecting that result. Might consider reapplying, summer designation, if his SATs from last week come back high.
He might have been psych, or undecided.
was that his first choice campus? or did he apply to university park? either way thatās very exciting!!!
