UCF and Auburn have HALF of the number of applicants and that’s just for UP campus. Add in the commonwealth campuses and Penn State receives 3 times as many applicants as either of those schools.

Likely a commonwealth. Penn State does not really do rejections outright. But the commonwealth campuses like Altoona, Behrend (erie) and Harrisburg have higher admit requirements than some of the others that don’t have dorms etc…

not a rejection, but I think changing to DUS is his only (slim) hope… not offered CW campus…
Will they still give him a decision by dec 24, 
I think so… portal reads:
“Your application is currently under review. We have received everything required to complete your application. Once a decision is made, it will be posted here.”
BTW, this DUS pathway is what our college advisor $$ recommended vice applying to Smeal, due to the competition and knowing my son’s stats…

My son has received 5 acceptances so far and never received an email notification from any of them to check his portal. Only 2 schools sent an email at all, and both of those were days after the portal updated. In addition, all of those schools have been rolling out the decisions over multiple weeks. They are all state schools.
The only two schools for which he knows the decision dates are releasing the decisions in very late January.

I have not seen many nursing?? I saw a few but that’s it. My daughter is borderline and freaking out because her friends applied to smeal and english major both in
My daughter oos applied 10/16 for nursing too, haven’t heard anything. Stats are great but??
Her friend accepted pre-med within 2 weeks.

My daughter applied EA for Biobehavioral - I haven’t seen many decisions for this major? (Maybe 1?) I figured it would’ve been a competitive major- but what do I know

Just got a status change to “ Your application has been updated. Please check back soon for a status update” does that mean it will come out tonight, maybe tommorow?
