My daughter is an Enterprise Technology Integration major and I NEVER hear anyone talk about it! She will have IT skills and also come of of Penn State with a Smeal business certification because she chose the business focus. The hardest part right now is finding the required internship because employers don’t really know where she fits and all applications want her to choose either business or IT as her interest -and she can do both! But it’s a great major that my daughter fell into after two years in Biological Anthropology when she decided she didn’t want to get a masters degree right away.

Thanks for the response and advice. Do you think I have any chance to get straight into the business school at UP with my 4.53 Weighted GPA and 1340 SAT? Also, I am currently not able to access the portal as I assume is true with many others as well.

I’ve been wondering the same thing. DS (OOS) got into the Applied Data Sciences program at the School of Information Systems and Tech. but I don’t see a lot of people posting here talking about that school at all! Is it not as highly valued at Penn State as Smeal, Engineering or Eberly.
Question: How easy is it to switch between majors within the school of IST? DS wants to try out DS first and maybe switch into Enterprise Tech or Information Sciences and Tech.

Are you taking calculus or took it last year with an A? Will have 4 years in each of the 5 core subjects including **at least **12 honors/AP/De/IBcourses by graduation and generally the most rigorous curriculum your HS offers?
(1340 may/would be low for Smeal direct although it’s objectively an excellent score).
Did you check “summer”?
Note that no one is “in”, everyone is premajor and must get specific grades in weedout classes. (Sometimes some UP students wish they’d started at Altoona/Harrisburg/Behrend where they would have had more support and wouldn’t be competing with the best HS kids so wouldn’t have struggled ad much or been weeded out…)

I did not take calculus 
. I am now taking AP statistics though. I would consider summer, how do I tell them that?

If you didn’t take calc and didn’t check summer, start thinking about what najor you could ask for. Look at my post upthread for ideas - but starting at one of the 3 (A/B/H) may also be a good idea.
Calc at UP is brutal.

I have just officially been switched to DUS. I think I should get in now, right? Then, I will practice calculus and stuff in the mean time.

Are you OOS? My daughter got Altoona w a 3.65 and TO–had applied for summer. She heard other ppl got in and feels she’s “the only one” who didn’t get UP.
Now the blurb is gone!!!
i was accepted to penn state harrisburg with 2+2 in business. I had a 3.65 gpa and 1290 sat. I emailed and asked for reconsideration to DUS at UP and then called to see when I would recieve a final decision. They had said late january or beginning of february at the earliest. for anyone applying for reconsideration make sure to put your name and DOB as they said thats important when i called. also, do i need to put summer start in th reconsideration email if it was preiously on my application.

Did they say when you will get a decision? Br dec 24? Or Jan/Early Feb?
On 12/12, Daughter was accepted 2+2 program at PSU Brandywine. She applied TO w/o summer. Excited to explore this opportunity and see where this takes her.
Does anyone know if they send out acceptances according to majors or is it completely random? Anyone accepted to the school of communications yet?
