I just checked the 2024 EA thread and the same thing happened last year about this time and then it changed back within a few hours and TO button reappeared. 
Iām the parent of a current Freshman. My daughter applied last Aug & was accepted to UP for Summer. We did not hear anything until Dec. 12th. She accepted and started in the Summer. Fall semester has been everything as expected (HOWEVER, there is no housing shortageā¦Parents, you donāt need to sign a lease until mid-October). Having her @ UP has been great.
Her brother is graduating in 2025 & made the decision in July to Apply Aug 1st. to UP for Education. Same-ish grades as her (3.75 GPA to her 4.1 GPA) and decided that he wants to follow in her footsteps. Plans on starting Summer if accepted.
His sister had facetimed him, asking if he checked his portal lately. He also received the message āPlease check back tomorrow to view your application status and next stepsā.
Fingers crossed that we donāt have to wait until December for another acceptance!

Honors portal question here. My youngest applied to Schreyers (via common app) before their high school sent LORs (via Naviance). LORs were sent by the school Oct. 29 but are still missing from the honors portal on Nov. 4. Anyone know how long it usually takes to link up LORs? Should I be patient? (I am not patient)

Congrats! That seems such a quick turnaround. My S25 is waiting for the outcome, I think itās one of his top choices along with Pitt, although we havenāt yet visited!
This is just my friendly November reminder that Penn State decisions are randomly released. Meaning, it doesnāt matter when you applied or what your stats are so donāt compare to others who may have hear. The applications get sorted into so many different piles and sent to different admission reps that it is not a First In, First Out process.
In general, if a student hears early, itās because they are high stats. But not all high stat kids hear early. Most decisions will come out in December, but they will be trickling in in November as well.
Donāt stress about when you hear, unless itās Dec 24.

S25 received his acceptance today, College of Engineering, University Park, GPA 4.1 UW, 1340 SAT. Accepted to Pitt in October. Big sister graduated from PSU May 2023, heās definitely leaning towards Penn State. Congratulations everyone!!
