So other students can estimate their odds and understand if they’re competitive: Don’t forget to give Uw/w GPA, test scores, total number of AP+Honors courses. :+1:

Congrats to all these early admits! Wondering if the majority of these kids were also invited to apply for Schreyers Honors College? I’m trying to be patient until S25 hears back!!

Thanks for the information. What was his highest math? Did he take AP calculus or AP Stats? Also, CONGRATULATIONS!

Omg thank you. U r so nice. I’m sure your kid is as well. I find this whole thing stressful. He has applied everywhere. It’s overwhelming. I say stay in state and call it a day

Yes, it is stressful. With so many schools going test-optional, kids feel like they have to apply to more schools to improve their chances. It’s definitely harder to predict acceptances now.

Our son has a superscore of 33 and 13 APs, but he still doesn’t feel comfortable with most of the schools he’s interested in. One thing that might hurt him is that his highest math courses are Honors Calc and AP Stats. Good luck to your son

Got an email a while back stating “due to strong academic
invited to apply to Schreyer” but haven’t heard back yet in terms of decisions so assuming they send these to everyone and not necessarily an indication of possible acceptance as it seems all the strong academics are getting decisions already?

If he has calc for a college or major that requires math it should be enough, definitely not a problem, because it means she’ll be calculus ready - what they want to see.
A 33 and 13 APs should give him lots of choices if he made his list well, with 2 sure things and at least one where his odds are 75-25 - I bet there’ll be more than these, in fact.

Schreyer decisions are sent in late February or early March AFAIK. You apply and keep your fingers crossed your essays showed what the college wanted so you’re among the 300 out of 8,000 freshmen. :crossed_fingers: Schreyer is one of the best honors colleges in the country in terms of courses offered, opportunities, support, material perks - so in the end all these essays will seem worth it

Congrats to all who have had decisions in the last few days!

Sounds like lots of colleges are “pushing the button” for some do the kids.

Again, if you have not heard, do not despair. People will be admitted until the very end!

Thank you for your thoughts. It’s reassuring to know that taking Calc Honors instead of AP Calc won’t hurt him too much. I also appreciate all the advice you’ve shared across this forum—it’s been incredibly informative and helpful.

Congrats! Do you mind sharing your stats? OOS psych major here as well.

Congrats! seems like some more acceptances are rolling out. My son got accepted to Smeal a couple of days ago but just checked his email this morning. This is the first school he has heard back from so just glad he will be going somewhere! Two other kids from his school were also admitted, Engineering and Communications.
