Yes. My daughter admitted as a Bio Major. OOS 3.94 UW 4APs and rest Honors. 1430 SAT. 3 sport Varsity athlete, good ECās.

1st quarter Senior year grades are in and GPA went up!! Does it help to send the 1st quarter grades/GPA in or have the reviews already started and doesnāt matter at this point?
Same here! I submitted my first quarter grades, as Iām awaiting my nursing program decision and Iām not sure if they looked through the applications yet. Iām sure it canāt hurt

I think it canāt hurt to send them. If they donāt want to look at them, they wonāt.
For those that have been accepted, is there a time of day that acceptance notifications tend to be sent?
For my daughter it was at midnight on a Friday when she received an email.

Same. Midnight on Friday but he didnāt see it until Sunday. I can give his stats if anyone thinks thatās helpful. He was admitted to Smeal.

Thanks. No, not at all. He is from the northeast. Not sure what his uw GPA is but he had 1 A- during HS (so far), the rest were A or A+. His weighted GPA is 4.8. He had a 34 ACT which he submitted. He took it once, although not sure if that matters to schools. He will probably take it again. Through Junior year heās taken 6 APs, all (5ās). Taking 4 senior year. His guidance counselor said he has great recommendations and his ECs and leaderships roles are really good and well diversified (although light on business-related ECs). He is only applying direct admit to the business schools where that is an option. His business-related courses and activities I would say are average. His school does not offer AP Micro- or Macroeconomics and other offerings are limited.
Others might know better how they decide this early but itās only been 3 weeks since he applied, so not sure how in-depth Penn St. went into his application. Happy to answer any other questions.

Well, itās after 7, did anyone who hasnāt heard have the test optional button disappear tonight? Itās still there for my son.

Where did you send your 1st quarter grades? Is there a link in the portal to upload them?
Just logged inā¦the normal status bar at the top is now a yellow notice barā¦and his test optional status is changedā¦says to check back tomorrow.

My sonās says that now, too. It didnāt an hour ago. I wonder if there is a glitch in their system and it is just getting us excited and will go back to normal soon. No one else mentioned that happening before.
