The waiting stinks for sure but definitely look at last year’s EA thread and you will see that engineering still had plenty of acceptances even into December.

I know that Penn State employees do not have the whole week of Thanksgiving off like the students do, so I imagine some admissions employees will be working Monday-Wednesday of Thanksgiving week.

Congrats to those who were accepted!! Seeing many acceptances coming in for those who submitted test score for engineering. So, does this mean that going TO works against you? Statistically, the applicants who submitted the test scores are hearing back so does that mean there is more competition for those who went TO (meaning less open spots)?
Two of my sons friends received acceptances and both were TO.

congratulations!!! when you say the TO link disappeared, do you mean where it say you can change your test option?
I meant the link that says “change your test option answer”. Is that what disappears?

Has anyone heard of anyone getting an acceptance to a satellite campus (applied to UP but got 2 or 3 choice campus instead)? Or right now are all the acceptances just for the UP campus? Hoping that just because we haven’t heard anything it doesn’t mean my daughter isn’t getting into UP.
I am wondering if my son made a mistake going for smeal. Could I change to Undecided? Is that even possible

Those are great stats! He can definitely get in for most majors- not sure about Smeal. That’s so hard to call. You can definitely have him ask to be reconsidered for a different major if he doesn’t get the results he wants. I’m not sure if you can ask to switch before the decision is made or not. You can always have him call Monday to ask if he can switch or if he has to wait for a decision. If he can switch, if it’s still early action.

Does anyone know if the admissions people are the same people who do the nursing admissions or is that like a whole different set of people?
I believe they are admissions and not from the Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing, but I don’t know if there are different admissions people for each college. Just found this:

My son got in smeal last week. I was nervous to if he should have gone undecided. he didn’t put summer as an option either. did your son put fall and summer as an option. I think he has a good chance of getting in. I heard if you don’t then reapply and put DUS and summer. his stats look good, however I’m no expert and was nervous too. I didn’t realize how competitive Smeal was. good luck
