Penn State Early Action for Fall 2025 Admissions

Is Lions Path different than the MyPennState portal?

yes, search up lionpath psu, it is like a separate student portal.

my test optional button went away around 8:30 and I checked lionpath and my letter was there, under undergraduate admit on the right side. if you can successfully log into lionpath it means you have a decision and can see it there

We had checked lionpath last night to see the letter when his TO button disappeared. But additionally he had an email that came in at midnight that his portal was updated. So we knew a little early only because we knew to look. But you will get an email alerting you to a decision.

Thank you for this advice. If she really still wants UP should she mark Summer? It seems everyone that’s being accepted to UP from OOS right now are for Summer start.

So, if you haven’t gotten a decision yet, is it worth it to call admissions and let them know you want to change major to DUS and would welcome Summer start? Or is it too late in the game for that and still be considered for EA? TY

Since the admitted::enrolled ratio for OOS 1::10, they may be trying to gauge how committed the student is (guessing)
If she checks summer and is admitted for Summer, would she be okay attending? Or just knowing she got in but won’t be attending?
I’m kind of guessing she would get into UP for Global Studies if she highlights the points I listed (including Paterno Fellow Aspirant) but of course I can’t promise anything  so it really is up to her what the worst outcome would be: denied for Fall or Admitted but summer. :crossed_fingers:

A real hard wait! Our son submitted in early October and visited in November. He LOVED it.

OOS, W 3.78, SAT 1440, Aerospace Engineering. Great EC, including a 2-year NASA internship.

The new engineering campus is amazing! We really hope he has the chance to be part of it.

May I ask her stats, we are waiting for psychology as well (although she didn’t check anything yesterday so it could be there)

Congrats too!!!

Sure… weighted GPA 4.142, 3 AP, 4 Dual Enrollment, varsity volleyball 10-12, captain this year. Travel volleyball since 7th grade. NHS, HOSA, volunteer with local animal shelter, two jobs (plus some other stuff) and submitted SAT (1200).

Thank you and congrats to your daughter! I just need my daughter to log in and look

Does anyone know if Dec. 24 is still the final date by which all EA decisions should be out? Or is it going to keep trickling out?

PSU says ALL EAs will be notified BY Dec. 24. I think they will continue to trickle out until Dec. 24. Then only reconsiderations will be dropped until the RD date.

She’ll get an email around midnight and it will be at the top of the admissions portal after that. She doesn’t have to go into Lion Path.

Wow. That’s a lot of applications! So sorry we missed the session. I totally forgot about it.

There are a few OOS that are UP start. My son is UP start (MA).
