Out to these three mentioned, which one do you recommend

Depends what you want to study and where you are oos. If you want to be an English major Iowa would be an obvious choice. If you live near Erie and are in-state PA- PSU might be a great choice but if you are in-state Conn- U Conn. Erie is very far away from the PSU main campus so I would encourage you to visit before you make up your mind. Good luck!

BLDESQ: Thanks. I am from California so doesn’t really matter in-state. Major probably will be science/business.

You should see Erie first-it is an out of the way location for us and we are East Coast based. If you attend Erie for 2 years you will be at UP for 2. Smeal is the best by far of the 3 for business so if you can live with Erie for 2 years-PSU is best academically.

Other factors to consider include quality of life. If it were me, I personally would prefer to be on amain camous fromthe very start of college for football, etc. But again,it is all a matter ofyour personalpreferences. Also, where do you envision yourself living/working post college? If you want to be East Coast based go with U.Conn or PSU. Business School grads out of the very top tier Stanford,Wharton etc.tend to get recruited more locally soagain,if youl like the Midwest go with Iowa. My one caveat is that this is allfrom the sole perspective of b-schooland does not takeinto account your interest in science and post-grad plans. U Conn may logistically be the easiest to travel to as you will fly in to one of the NY/Conn airports and have a relatively short commute. What about weather? Erie could be a shocker for a Californian. Is money an issue? My personal feeling is that undergrads should not fork over all their education funds for the first 4 years since most people go on to grad school. is money an issue for you? What motivated you to select these schoolsi n the first place? The intangible of where do you feel you woiuld fit in, enjoy, like the most. Hard to say but talk it over with peoplewho really know you.

I am unfamiliar with sciences and business rankings /offerings at Iowa but I would check out the Business Week rankings for undergrad b schools for starters and talk to as many people as possible, weigh some of the factors i outlined, and then know that in the end they are all great schoolsandyoucan’t go wrong.

Good luck.
