Penn State.......Honors program / merit scholarship...

Hi. Just wondering if Penn State has specific cut-offs ( GPA / SAT/ ECs ) for their honors programs and merit scholarships ? My son, a junior now, is unlikely to receive any financial aid and coming from out of state, even a few $$ in merit award would be helpful. He is a pretty good student, A-, 2140 SAT ( taking it over in May ), editor of school papers, JSA member, Natl. Honor society, a few other stuff. Then again, I guess most kids seeking the honors program and/or merit aid probably have good stats as well. Thanks.
Good luck in your studies. Marc

Penn State also has departmental scholarships that may be offered in addition to SHC merit money.
