I have a few questions about the admissions process for Penn State
- Does PSU require ACT and SAT or just one of the two
- How hard is it to get into the Computer Science program
- Ive heard that applying for Summer Session helps your chances of admissions. Is this true and how much does it help
- Either test, don't need both:
Application
Official high school transcript(s)
Official test scores: SAT (code #2660) or ACT (code #3656)
http://admissions.psu.edu/info/future/firstyear/apply/
- As hard as the engineering school in general, which is where CS is housed. So harder than DUS but probably less hard than business? If you post your GPA and test scores people might be able to advise what your best application strategy would be.
- Summer session is easier. Hard to quantify how much easier. "Fall with a backup of summer" is an option, I believe, so if you didn't get into fall you could be reevaluated for summer.
My end of the year Gpa will be either 3.7 or 3.86 depending on how I finish the year
I took my first SAT last weekend so i dont have the scores. Somewhere between 1150-1250 is my guess
Ive taken almost all honors classes all throughout HS and 7 total AP’s in my junior and senior year
