<p>I checked the website and I was surprised to see that the results are already up. I got rejected. Most of my friends got deferred. Am I doing something wrong? Should I change my material before my last 2 auditions?</p>
<p>My first piece of advice would be - Don’t Panic! If you’ve been reading this board for a while, you know that it is a highly selective process, and you are far more likely to get more rejections than acceptances. Don’t let one or two knock you for a loop.</p>
<p>If your original choice of materials was well-considered and appropriate, I would recommend you stick with what you have. Unless you have other songs/
monologues that are prepared and ready to go, you would most likely do yourself a disservice by starting to second guess your choices now, and searching for something else. If you have other choices that are equally well-prepared and think may show something else, you might consider trading in one new song or mono, but I wouldn’t totally swap out your material unless you have gotten feedback indicating that would be a wise choice.</p>

I auditioned in NYC Unified and I havent gotten anything on my myPSU except. Application still being reviewed and I am sure I have sent everything in as far as applications and stuff go. </p>

My d rec’d a deferred letter on Friday the 13th.

<p>My D is getting concerned that something has been overlooked, as well. She auditioned at L.A. Unifieds Feb 7 with 3 other kids she knows, and they all received some kind of answer (two deferrals and one rejection). The two with the deferrals have no change on the application status page, but the rejection was posted. All received letters; my D has received nothing. Is it inappropriate to call/email the school? Is there any rhyme or reason as to when the notify you?</p>
<p>Melsmom, given that several whom you know who auditioned for PSU on that date have heard one way or the other, it is reasonable to call and ask when your D should expect to hear back given that she auditioned in LA at Unifieds. </p>
<p>Also, the Unifieds were handled differently than on campus. On campus, they have a callback phase and if you don’t make th callback, you automatically know that you will be denied admission. LA Unifieds does not operate that way. Given that others who attended on that day have heard, it is OK to call and ask what you should expect in terms of notification (not the actual result which is not told too often by colleges over the phone). I have another student who auditioned at LA Unifieds for PSU but I haven’t heard back from him yet and I don’t know if he has heard. If I hear, I’ll let ya know.</p>

<p>melsmom09 - my S (aud. at CHI Unifieds) is in the same boat as your D. Did you get an explanation when you called?</p>
<p>Thanks, jacksdad (and MO2)- Paula has been a great help with other issues along the way, so I did call her yesterday. She was able to tell me my D was deferred and that she would get an official response two to four weeks after their last audition on 2/28. No real explanation as to why there was not an initial letter sent out. Oh well, I guess we can feel hopeful about a deferral! Good luck to everybody!</p>
<p>Congratulations-from what I understand almost everyone that they are considering this year is being deferred until everyone has been seen.</p>
<p>Any idea how many people have been deferred or accepted yet? We heard that at their last audition only 4 people were interviewed.</p>
