Not many, in my opinion. I mean, really, how many people, innocently, romp naked in the shower with other people’s children? Everyone knows what was going on and as flawed an individual as he seems to be, they have McQueary’s eyewitness account of what he saw. He would have no reason to lie about what actually was happening in that shower. Quite the opposite.

“USA Today reporting that McQ did NOT walk away. He “made sure it stopped”.”

Oh, he called the police to report he had witnessed a rape? Because that’s the only way he could make sure it stopped. How did everyone miss that?

I can’t believe Sandusky’s attorney is letting him say all this. I have to say that I don’t believe a word he’s saying. He is saying that McQueary completely made it up.

Just a point to clarify something from the Grand Jury report … the GA testified that he told Paterno and the AD, and the VP … all specifically what happened in the locker room. The AD and VP both denied this … and the grand jury report says they found the GA to be a credible witness, and the AD and VP less than credible.

Again - I would really recommend everyone take ten minutes to read the entire report.
What is not addressed in the report - much about Paterno … only that the GA told him exaclty what he witnessed.

Someone who has been the victim of a violent act- is often too traumatized/threatened to go directly to the police themselves.
Anyone who witnesses a violent crime or who has direct knowledge of one , needs to go directly to the police themselves.
Finding out what happened needs all witnesses to make themselves known.
What kind of person allows someone else to take over their conscience, and washes their hands?
Those are the kind of people who will do anything if they are paid enough. How convenient when they find a workplace that fits in with their ethics.

“I can’t believe Sandusky’s attorney is letting him say all this. I have to say that I don’t believe a word he’s saying. He is saying that McQueary completely made it up.”

What else is he going to say if he speaks? It’s either that or confess.

Oh he is so disgusting. AND, hearing this right now tells me he doesn’t even realize what a horrible thing he did. No regret. No remorse. Just denials that he did anything. Is he so stupid? How can EVERYone make this stuff up?

Innocence until proven guilty? So why is Costos talking about this on network tv? I mean, it’s everywhere anyway, but why is Costos talking about this before it’s gone to trial? It’s going to be incredibly hard to find people for a jury who don’t already know about this story.

Maybe he is such a narcissist that he went against his lawyers advice and really believes he is beyond the realm of justice.

If you think about it, so many of his alleged crimes were so bold. Right in the locker room where anyone could walk in at any time. In the basement of his own home, etc. It strikes me that he feels impenetrable (no pun intended Jym!}

“I can’t believe Sandusky’s attorney is letting him say all this. I have to say that I don’t believe a word he’s saying. He is saying that McQueary completely made it up.”

And 8 other victims (possibly more coming) are lining up to testify against him, plus 1998 incident. If it was only McQ words against him, then Sandusky might have a chance but 8 other victims are very powerful and convincing evidence.

The article ends with this chilling memory:

"Smith also attended a camp at Penn States main campus in 2006. That program was run by Penn State assistant coach Mike McQueary.

Smith says there is one event that happened at that camp which he remembers to this day.

He says he remembers specifically Sandusky walking over to McQueary. McQueary shook Sanduskys hand and talked to him. Back in 2002, McQueary was a graduate assistant and according to the grand jury statement, he saw Sandusky allegedly sexually abusing a young boy in the shower.

Smith says he cant believe, four years later, and after what what McQueary allegedly saw, that he would be able to shake Sanduskys hand.

How could you talk to that guy? If you really saw him do it, how could you be around him? How could even work for those people? You know how wrong it was and who the hell knows what Sandusky may have gotten away with. It’s sick."
