For pre-med students, is Penn SAS harder, in terms of course-work load and maintaining a high GPA, than Cornell CAS?

In terms of sciences, both schools seem to be on comparable levels, yet Cornell has a strong reputation of being an extremely difficult school and a pressure-cooker. I have not heard this about Penn.

Don’t forget the extra confounding variable–the generally whinier disposition of Cornelians.

Agreed with Cereal in that it seems that Cornell kids from CAS seem to complain more. But, I would say that they are about equal difficulty, maybe with CAS being a tad more difficult.

Being a Asian American, I like Cornell over UPenn by a lot~!
Look! UPenn kids whine a lot too.

being an asian-american, i like penn more than cornell by a lot, so there

(the above chart is from here, for the confused)

having there be more (or less) asian applicants to med schools from a given school does not necessarily imply anything about program difficulty; i think most would say penn and cornell are better than uc irvine and yet uc irvine has more asians, whereas dartmouth is a great premed school and is at the bottom of that list

I have never read anything on CC before that made me want to puke so badly. Your reasoning is laughably stupid at first, then devastatingly pathetic once you think about it. I cannot comprehend how you can seriously insult the Asian-American community like that.

hopingdad…you’re a shame to us asians.
